How does a wife get a khula?

“If he accepted the khula, then the khula is valid, even though it was not done happily. The khula will be regarded as one talaaq baain (irrevocable talaaq) and immediately after the khula, your iddat had commenced. Your iddat is three haidh (menses).”

“Khula refers to the wife returning the Mahr to the husband in exchange of the husband issuing a divorce to the wife. For the Khula to be valid, the husbands consent and approval of a Khula in exchange of a divorce to the wife is necessary.”
