How do we offer Qadha Salaah which were left our during a journey?

Question

how to offer qazha namaz which were left during safar? hwther it can be offered as kasr or as normal namaz

Answer

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalaamu `alaykum waRahmatullahi Wabarakatuh

Salah is the second pillar of Islam. Delaying salah to after its prescribed time is a major sin. Nabi صلى الله عليه و سلم said:

“Whoever misses a salah then it is as he has lost his entire family and wealth”

If a person misses any salah as a musafir then when performing the qadha, he should read his missed salah as qasr.

قوله ( وفائتة السفر والحضر تقضي ركعتين وأربعا ) لف ونشر مرتب أي فائتة السفر تقضى ركعتين وفائتة الحضر تقضى أربعا لأن القضاء بحسب الأداء بخلاف ما لو فاتته في المرض في حالة لا يقدر على الركوع والسجود حيث يقضيها في الصحة راكعا وساجدا أو فاتته في الصحة حيث يقضيها في المرض بالإيماء لأن الواجب هناك الركوع والسجود إلا أنهما يسقطان عنه بالعجز فإذا قدر أتى بهما بخلاف ما نحن فيه فإن الواجب على المسافر ركعتان كصلاة الفجر وعلى المقيم أربع فلا يتغير بعد الاستقرار
