would you please let me know if participating in US DV Lottery is permissible according to the Islamic Sharia.

Answer

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalaamu `alaykum waRahmatullahi Wabarakatuh

It is permissible to participate in the U.S. Diversity Visa lottery. This does not fall in the category of gambling.
