Question

I would like to know if my nephew is a mahram to me. My nephew is related to me only through marriage (my sister in laws son).

Answer

Assalāmu `alaikum Warahmatullāhi Wabrakatuh,

Your nephew in this particular situation (husband’s sister’s son) is not your mahram.[i]
