Question

Can a man go somewhere and leave his family without a Mahram and only money to see to their needs? or does he have to leave a Mahram with them?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

It is permissible for a man to travel, leaving his family at home without a Mahram as long as he has organized for their needs. [1]Also there should be no fear of fitnah for the family. This practice is proven through the various journeys of the Sahābah Radhiallāhu Anhum. [2]
