Transliteration of ayah ul-kursi.

Question

Could you tell me what ayah ul-kursi means? Also what is the transliteration for this ayah? And what duas can one say every day for protection, guidance, and building a strong faith in Islam?

Answer

Allaahu laa ilaaha illaa huwal hayyul Qayyoom. Laa Ta'akhudhuhoo sinat wwalaa nawm. Lahoo maa-fis samaawaati wamaa fil ardh. Man dhalladhee yashfa' u `indahoo illaa bi-idhnihee, ya'alamu maa bayna aydeehim wamaa khalfahum. Walaa yuheetoona bishay-in min `ilmihee illaa bimaa shaa-a wasi'a kursiyyuhus samaawaati wal-ardh, walaa ya-ooduhu hifdhuhumaa wahuwal aliyyil adheem.
