Is it permissible for Men to wear a Carbon Fiber ring?

Question

I had a question regarding if it is permissible for Men to wear a Carbon Fiber ring (no metal). I did search the site but was unable to come up with this question. This is a link that gives some details of a Carbon Fiber ring...

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh

Carbon fiber is an extremely strong and light fibre-reinforced polymer/plastic based product that is used for various modern engineering and construction purposes. [1]

It is not permissible for men to wear imitation rings. [2] Men are only allowed to wear silver rings that are around 4.374 grams or less. [3]

أقول: ويؤيده نص الحديث السابق من قوله - عليه الصلاة والسلام - «ولا تتممه مثقالا» (رد المحتار، ج 6، ص361، سعيد

و يجوز لنساء التحلى بالذهب و الفضة (مجمع الانهر ج2 ص535 دار احياء التراث)
