Can both the husband and wife take bath together?

Question

Salaam

Can a husband and wife have bath/shower together

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

It is permissible for the husband and wife to take a bath together.

And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best

فأما نظره إلى زوجته ومملوكته فهو حلال من قرنها إلى قدمها عن شهوة أو عن غير شهوة لحديث أبي هريرة - رضي الله عنه - قال: غض بصرك إلا عن زوجتك وأمتك "وقالت عائشة - رضي الله عنها -: كنت أغتسل أنا ورسول الله - صلى الله عليه وسلم - من إناء واحد وكنت أقول بق لي وهو يقول بق لي"

حَدِيثُ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ : وَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا : { كُنْت أَغْتَسِلُ أَنَا وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ مِنْ إنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ ، وَكُنْت أَقُولُ بَقِّ لِي بَقِّ لِي

وَهُوَ يَقُولُ بَقِّ لِي بَقِّ لِي } وَلَوْ لَمْ يَكُنْ النَّظَرُ مُبَاحًا لَمَا تَجَرَّدَ كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْ صَاحِبِهِ انْتَهَى
