Is permissible for the girls side to feed guests at her wedding in addition to walima?

Question

Is there anything wrong with having an invitation from the girl's side at the time of her marriage, which is in addition to Walima (on the assumption that at such a function there is a guarantee that there will not be intermingling, wastage, music, extravagance etc)?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best

It is permissible for the girl’s side to invite guests at the time of marriage and feed them with the conditions mentioned in the query.
