Can a person make a promise and not fulfil it in a compulsion situation?

Question

My qusestion is. If anyone can force someone to make promise by threatening to kill or hurt him or her self .But the person dont want to make promise at all but to over come that situation and by compultion that promise was made.

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykumwa-rahmatullāhiwa-barakātuh.
