Question

As salaamu alaikum. Hope in Allah all is well.

Is it permissible to give azaan in the grave?

Are there any references to giving Azaan at or in the grave in Abu Dawud, Muslim or Tirmidhi ?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

It is not permissible to give Adhaan in the grave. To give Adhaan at or in the grave is an act of bid’ah and incorrect. [i]
