Question

When praying Salah, do we need to read our Suras in order?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

When one performs Salah, he should maintain the forward sequence of the Surahs in the Quran. For example, if one recites Suratul Kafirūn in the first Rakat, then in the second Rakat he should recite a Surah after Suratul Kafirūn, for example, Suratul Fath.

It is Makruh to adopt a backward sequence. For example, if one recites Suratul Kafrūn in the first Rakat, he should not recite Suratul Fīl in the second Rakat which is before Surah Kafirūn in the Quran.[1]

(قَوْلُهُ ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ يُتِمُّ) أَفَادَ أَنَّ التَّنْكِيسَ أَوْ الْفَصْلَ بِالْقَصِيرَةِ إنَّمَا يُكْرَهُ إذَا كَانَ عَنْ قَصْدٍ، فَلَوْ سَهْوًا فَلَا كَمَا فِي شَرْحِ الْمُنْيَةِ. وَإِذَا انْتَفَتْ الْكَرَاهَةُ فَإِعْرَاضُهُ عَنْ الَّتِي شَرَعَ فِيهَا لَا يَنْبَغِي. وَفِي الْخُلَاصَةِ افْتَتَحَ سُورَةً وَقَصْدُهُ سُورَةً أُخْرَى فَلَمَّا قَرَأَ آيَةً أَوْ آيَتَيْنِ أَرَادَ أَنْ يَتْرُكَ تِلْكَ السُّورَةَ وَيَفْتَتِحَ الَّتِي أَرَادَهَا يُكْرَهُ اهـ. وَفِي الْفَتْحِ: وَلَوْ كَانَ أَيْ الْمَقْرُوءُ حَرْفًا وَاحِدًا

نیز بھول سے اس طرح خلاف ترتیب قراءت کرلی تو کوی حرج نہیں البتہ قصدا خلاف ترتیب قراءت کرنا مکروہ ہے

خیر الفتاوی ج-2 ص-310

قصدا خلاف ترتیب پڑھنا مکروہ ہے مگر نماز ہو جائے گی- بھول کر پڑھنے کی صورت میں کراہت بھی نہ ہوگی
