Can I dye my hair, eyebrows, and beard dark brown?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
It is permissible to dye one’s hair any colour besides black. You may dye your facial hair i.e., hair, eyebrows, and beard dark brown.[1]
And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best

(قوله ويكره بالسواد) أي لغير الحرب.
قال في الذخيرة: أما الخضاب بالسواد للغزو، ليكون أهيب في عين العدو فهو محمود بالاتفاق وإن ليزين نفسه للنساء فمكروه، وعليه عامة المشايخ، وبعضهم جوزه بلا كراهة روي عن أبي يوسف أنه قال: كما يعجبني أن تتزين لي يعجبها أن أتزين لها

٧٩ – (٢١٠٢) وحَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: أُتِيَ بِأَبِي قُحَافَةَ يَوْمَ فَتْحِ مَكَّةَ وَرَأْسُهُ وَلِحْيَتُهُ كَالثَّغَامَةِ بَيَاضًا، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «غَيِّرُوا هَذَا بِشَيْءٍ، وَاجْتَنِبُوا السَّوَادَ»
