Does the imām have to repeat the khutba if his wudhu broke before the Jumu’ah Salāh?

Question

Aslm. if after giving the khutba for juma my wudhu breaks before the juma salah, do I have to repeat the khutba or not? jzk

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykumwa-rahmatullāhiwa-barakātuh.

If the imāms wudhū broke after giving the khutba, he then made wudhū before the jumu’ah salāh. He can perform the jummu’ah salāh without repeating the jummu’ah khutba.[1]
