Can we make the intention of i'tikaaf when entering a surau?
Question
In Malaysia there are places called surau which are different from mosques. The Friday and Eid prayers are not performed in a surau but daily azan and salat with jamah are established. A surau can be a particular floor of a building, or in basement. Since it is not a complete mosque, can we make the intention of aitikaaf everytime we enter the surau, like we do it in masjid.

It is correct to make intention of Nafl I?tikaaf when entering a surau.
