Duaas In The Janaazah Salaah

Question

If the Imaam recited the duas in Janaaza in the incorrect order, what should be done?

After the 2nd takbeer, he recited the Dua and after the 3rd takbeer, he recited Durood Ibraaheem. If he realized this while reciting them…?

He only realized after theJanaaza salaat was over?

Answer

The Janaazah Salah will be valid because the condition for the Janaazah Salah to be valid is to say four Takbeeraat (Allahu Akbar) and Qiyaam (to stand). Therefore, if a person forgets or changes the sequence of the Duaas, this will not nullify his Salaah. However, reading Duaas in the normal recommended sequence is a Sunnah of our beloved Nabi Muhammad ﷺ which should be adhered to.

How is janaazah salaah performed?

“According to the Hanafi school of thought, it is not allowed to perform the Janaazah Salaah if the body of the deceased is not present. The following texts serve as a proof for this viewpoint:”
