Reciting Manzil during menses

Question

Am I permitted to recite Manzil whilst experiencing my menstrual cycle?

Answer

It is permissible to recite a few verses of the Quraan-e-Kareem as Dua during menstruation. The Manzil consists of many verses of the Quraan-e-Kareem, hence if the entire Manzil is recited then it will fall in the category of Tilaawat, even though one has the intention of reciting the verses as Dua only. Thus recitation of the entire Manzil during the menstruation period should be avoided. However, one may recite a few verses of the Manzil as Dua for one’s protection.
