Question

I am going on holiday for 26 days. Do I perform Salaah in full, or Qasr?

Answer

If you will be travelling more than 77 kilometres, and intend staying at your destination for 15 days or more, then you will perform full Salaah. If after reaching your destination, you travel to another area covering a distance of 77 kilometres or more for touring or sightseeing, and thereafter, you return to your temporary residence by the evening, then you should renew your intention of residing in the area for more than 15 days once again, in which case you will be required to perform full Salaah. If you intend staying less than 15 days at your temporary residence after returning from sightseeing and touring, then you will make Qasr (meaning that you will perform 2 Rakaats Fardh Salaah for Zuhr, Asr and Esha only).
