Feeling firmness of the ground in Sajdah
Question
Do I have to press my head down to feel the firmness of the ground every time I make Sajdah. Or, do I just have to confirm that this occurs with the Musallah once, and afterwards, I don’t have to press my head down to that extent every single time.
Do I have to press my hands down during sajdah to feel the firmness of the ground every single time sajdah is made?
Answer
Yes, you will be required to press your forehead on the ground until the firmness of the ground is felt, each time you make Sajdah. It will not be necessary for you to press your hands down to feel the firmness of the ground [Re: Fataawa Uthmaniyyah Vol:2 Pg:86]

Where scholars differ, it’s safer to take the more cautious view.
