Question

Respected Ulamaa

My grandfather is unwell, we were advised by someone to recite 41 yaseens for his shifaa. Is this correct? Please advise.

Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakaatuh

The reciting of 41 times Yaseen is a tried and tested practice.

It is permissible to practice on something that is tried and tested on condition one does not regard it to be compulsory.
