Ovaries transplant

Question

salaam

Is ovaries transplant permissible? My ovaries do not function and my family members are asking for a transplant. Kindly advise.

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

We sympathize with you and make duaa to Allah to grant you ease and comfort. Aameen.

It is the taqdeer (decree) of Allah to bestow children to whom He wishes. There are many women who cannot conceive despite undergoing various treatments. It is the taqdeer of Allah we believe in.

It is natural for family members and friends to enquire about children. We trust you have explored all possible medical treatments. Nonetheless, it is not permissible for you to get an ovary transplant. [1]
