Khul & Tafweedh: Wife initiated Separation (2/3)
Question
Is a Muslim woman entitled financial support and upkeep from her (former) husband when she has initiated separation and applied for Khul? And if so for how long?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, Most Compassionate, Most Merciful,
The Muslim woman is entitled to maintenance unless she explicitly forgoes her rights as part of the agreement. This maintenance will need to be provided until her Iddah period expires.
