Is it permissible to recite Quran by the deceased when he/she is being given Ghusal
Question
Q. Is it permissible to recite Quran by the deceased when he/she is being given Ghusal in the Ghusal Khaana?
Answer
It will be disliked (Makrooh) to recite Quran, make Zikr or Dua bedsides the body of the deceased if the body of the deceased is in a room or cubicle like the Ghusal Khaana, which is specifically meant for the cleaning of impurities of the deceased body.
One may recite Quran, make Zikr or Dua outside the Ghusal Khaana or after the Ghusal of the body. (Shaami 2/193/194-Fataawa Darul Uloom Zakariyya 1/660/661-2/782/783)

Where scholars differ, it’s safer to take the more cautious view.
