Wearing Contact Lenses / Using Eyedrops while Fasting

Question

Q. I use clear-tested contact lenses, please advise if it is permissible to use them while fasting in Ramadaan or fasting in general?

Answer

It is permitted to use contact lenses and use eyedrops while fasting. This will not affect the fast as the insertion of something onto/into the eye does not affect the fast. (Hindiyaah 1/203)
