Question

I heard that it is recommended to read Surah Mulk at night before going to sleep. Can one read it just after the Maghrib prayer?

Answer

Surah Mulk can be recited anytime at night starting from after Maghrib to attain the virtue mentioned in the Hadith.

The Hadith regarding the virtue of reciting Surah Mulk at night is as follows:

Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam said: “Whosoever recites Tabaarakallazi (Surah Mulk) every night, it will be a means for his salvation from the punishment of the grave”. (Sunan Al Kubra – Nasaa’ee #10479)

And Allah Ta’ala Knows Best
