‘Aishah (radiyallahu ‘anha) Being Shown as the Wife of Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) in Jannah Eased His Death (1/2)
Question
Can this Hadith be quoted?
The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said during his final illness:
“Death has certainly been made easy for me, for I have seen you as my wife in Jannah.”
Answer
This narration is recorded in Musnadul Imam Abi Hanifah, Al Mu’jamul Kabir and Al Mu’jamul Awsat. The Hadith is suitable to quote.
Sayyidah ‘Aishah (radiyallahu ‘anha) reported that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) told her in his final illness, “Death has certainly been made easy for me, for I was shown that you are my wife in Jannah.”
(Musnadul Imam Abi Hanifah. Hadith: 86-87, Al Mu’jamul Kabir, Hadith: 98, vol. 23, Al Mu’jamul Awsat, Hadith: 3185)
Another Virtue of Sayyidah ‘Aishah (radiyallahu ‘anha)
Where scholars differ, it’s safer to take the more cautious view.
