Female’s use of deodorant when leaving home?

Question

I need some advice.I know for a fact that a woman is not allowed to use perfume before going out of her home.

But some women use deodorants profusely & claim that it is not the same as perfume.

Can you kindly clarify?

Answer

It is not permissible for a female to emerge from her home with fragrance emanating from her.

Thus, whether it a deodorant or perfume, she should ensure that no fragrance eminates from her. The deodorant should be used for its intended purpose, to prevent any unpleasant odour. It should not be used to give off a fragrance.
