Zakaat in the form of required aid?
Question
Can Zakaat be distributed in alternative forms?, ie blankets, food, accessories that is required by the deserving Muslims.
Answer
Zakaat may be discharged in this way. The market value of the goods would be used to determine the value of the goods for Zakaat purposes..
