What is shariath ruling on covering female hair?
Published as Female Hair Covering at Home
Question
Q. What is shariath ruling on covering female hair? When they at home can they keep it uncovered?
Answer
A female’s hair is part of her Aurah (Satr) which should be concealed in the presence of non-Mahram males or when she is out of her home.
She may leave her hair exposed within her home as long as no non-Mahram males are present.

Where scholars differ, it’s safer to take the more cautious view.
