Taraweeh in units of four
Question
I would like to know if Taraaweeh Salaah can be read with 5 salaams (four rakaats together)at a time.
Answer
Although permissible, it is against the Sunnah method to pray Taraweeh in units of four (four Rakaats with one Salaam). The Sunnah method is to pray Taraweeh in units of two. Thus, the practice of praying Taraweeh in units of four should best be avoided if there is no need. (Fathul Qadeer)
