Aqeeqah for New Muslims?

Question

Q. Please advice if aqeeqah is to be done for a new muslim revert. Can her husband do her aqeeqah for her?

Answer

Aqeeqah is only prescribed for a new-born. It is not prescribed for a new Muslim revert.
