Settling the debts of the deceased
Question
After my father passed away, I was aware of a debt of my fathers that had not been paid. After enquiries, an amount was determined and before sharing out the estate left by my father the debt was settled to the inheritors of the other party. All parties agreed to the amount. My question is; will this mean that the debt has been settled and that my father's burden has been lifted.
