Question

Is it permissible for me to pursue a career in graphic designing?

Answer

Designing and sketching inanimate objects (e.g. trees, landscapes, etc.) is permissible in Islam. Designing and sketching animate objects is forbidden and haraam in Islam. Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said, “Those involved in picture-making (of animate objects) will be subjected to the worst forms of punishment on the Day of Qiyaamah.”

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
