When is the preferred time for one to discharge the sadaqatul fitr?

Answer

It is preferable to discharge the sadaqatul fitr before the Eid Salaah.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

(ويستحب إخراجها قبل الخروج إلى المصلى بعد طلوع فجر الفطر) عملا بأمره وفعله عليه الصلاة والسلام (رد المحتار 2/367)

وأما إخراجه الفطرة قبل الخروج إلى المصلى في عيد الفطر فلما روي أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم كان يخرج قبل أن يخرج إلى المصلى ولأنه مسارعة إلى أداء الواجب فكان مندوبا إليه (بدائع الصنائع 1/279)

ويستحب للناس أن يخرجوا الفطرة يوم الفطر قبل الخروج إلى المصلى (مختصر القدوري صـ 61)

وينبغي أن يخرج صدقة فطره قبل الخروج إلى المصلى في عيد الفطر (تحفة الفقهاء 1/170)
