The Sunnat qiraat in Asr and Esha Salaah

Question

In some kitaabs it is mentioned that the masnoon qiraat in Asr and Esha Salaah should be from the awsaat-e-mufassal Surahs i.e. from Surah Taariq to Surah Bayyinah. However in the back of the Quran Shareef it is mentioned that the awsaat-e-mufassal qiraat commences from Surah Burooj to Surah Qadr. Which is the preferred opinion from the two opinions?

Answer

The Sunnat qiraat in Asr and Esha Salaah is that one reads from the awsaat-e-mufassal. The awaaat-e-mufassal commences from Suhrah Burooj till Surah Bayyinah.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

ويسن ( في الحضر ) لإمام ومنفرد ذكره الحلبي والناس عنه غافلون ( طوال المفصل ) من الحجرات الى آخر البروج ( في الفجر والظهر و ) منها الى آخر لم يكن ( أوساطه في العصر والعشاء و ) باقيه ( قصاره في المغرب ) أي في كل ركعة سورة مما ذكره الحلبي

قال الشامي : قوله ( إلى آخر البروج ) عزاه في الخزائن إلى شرح الكنز للشيخ باكير وقال بعده وفي النهر لا يخفى دخول الغاية في المغيا هنا اه فالبروج من الطوال وهو مفاد عبارة الهداية المذكورة آنفا لكن مفاد ما نقلناه بعدها عن شرح المنية وشرح المجمع أنها من الأوساط ونقله في الشرنبلالية عن الكافي بل نقل القهستاني عن الكافي خروج الغاية الأولى والثانية وعليه فسورة لم يكن من القصار وتوقف في ذلك كله صاحب الحلية وقال العبارة لا تفيد ذلك بل يحتاج إلى ثبت في ذلك من خارج والله أعلم أي لأن الغاية تحتمل الدخول والخروج فافهم (رد المحتار 1/ 539)

واستحسنوا في الحضر طوال المفصل في الفجر والظهر وأوساطه في العصر والعشاء وقصاره في المغرب كذا في الوقاية وطوال المفصل من الحجرات إلى البروج والأوساط من سورة البروج إلى لم يكن والقصار من سورة لم يكن إلى الآخر هكذا في المحيط والوقاية ومنية المصلي (الفتاوى الهندية 1/ 77)
