Performing Salaah wearing a topi
Question
My hairs are long and silky. When I perform Salaah, my hat falls off in sadja. Is it necessary to wear a hat in namaz or can I put on another thing to cover my head?
Answer
You should perform Salaah while wearing a hat.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

قال الحسن كان القوم يسجدون على العمامة والقلنسوة (صحيح البخاري، باب السجود علي الثوب في شدة الحر 1/56)

(وكره …صلاته حاسرا رأسه للتكاسل او للتهاون بها) ليس المراد بالتهاون الإهانة بالصلاة فإنها كفر بل المراد قلة رعايتها ومحافظة حدودها (لا للتذلل) (شرح الوقاية 1 /167-168)
