Loud zikr in congregation

Question

I just want to know if loud zikr in a congregation is permissible because some say it is and some say it's bida. Please give me an explanation. Didn't our beloved prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) or those around him practice this kind of zikr?

Answer

To make zikr individually or in congregation is permissible. Similarly, to make zikr softly or loudly is permissible just like the recitation of the Qur'aan Shareef. However, the zikr should not be done in a chorus and it must not be done in a way that it will disturb someone performing namaaz or sleeping.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
