Wearing a turban without a tail
Question
Is it permissible to wear a turban without a tail like how the turkisih Imams wear it? If yes, will it be regarded as a Sunnah?

1. Yes
2. Wearing a turban with a tail and without a tail is established in the Sunnah.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

عن جابر قال دخل النبي صلى الله عليه و سلم مكة يوم الفتح وعليه عمامة سوداء (جامع الترمذي رقم 1735)
عن ابن عمر قال كان النبي صلى الله عليه و سلم إذا اعتم سدل عمامته بين كتفيه قال نافع وكان ابن عمر يسدل عمامته بين كتفيه قال عبيد الله ورأيت القاسم و سالما يفعلان ذلك (جامع الترمذي رقم 1736)
قال ميرك وقد أخرج أبو داود والمصنف في الجامع بسندهما عن شيخ من أهل المدينة قال سمعت عبد الرحمن بن عوف يقول عممني رسول الله فسد لها بين يدي ومن خلفي وروى ابن أبي شيبة عن علي كرم الله وجهه أنه عممه بعمامة وأسدل طرفيها على منكبيه وفي شرح السنة قال محمد بن قيس رأيت ابن عمر رضي الله تعالى عنه معتما قد أرسلها بين يديه ومن خلفه وقد ثبت في السير بروايات صحيحة أن النبي كان يرخي علامته أحيانا بين كتفيه وأحيانا يلبس العمامة من غير علامة فعلم أن الإتيان بكل واحد من تلك الأمور سنة (مرقاة 8/ 146)
