Question

I went to a Masjid and seen that the Muazzin calls the azaan with only one finger in his ears. The other hand is down. Is this authentic?

Answer

It is among the aadaab (etiquettes) of Azaan that the Mu'azzin places the forefinger of both his hands in his ears when calling out the Azaan.

And Allah Ta'ala knows best.
