Loan money not reaching the person for whom it was taken out

Question

Mmy sister took a loan for me to help me but my brother took it and used it for his own purpose. Now she is asking money from me to pay the interest and return money which never reached me. So I seek help. Am I responsible for the money?

Answer

Since the money did not reach you, you are not responsible to pay back the loan.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
