Talfeeq

Question

If any one follows Imam Abu Hanifa and he knows hanafi fiqh very well. If he leave his fiqh with one reason for hurmat-e-musaaharah and follows another Imam, if he prays namaz and other worship according to another fiqh, his namaaz and worship are accepted or not?

Answer

This is called talfeeq, and talfeeq is haraam with the consensus of the ulama. Randomly picking and choosing is not following the shari`ah, it is the following of the nafs and guess work. How can you gain acceptance if you are not following the shari`ah but guesswork and nafs.
