Delaying the sunnah salah

Question

Could one defer praying the sunnah salah if one prays the fard on time. This could be due to shortage of time at work in non muslim countries.

Answer

We will advise that you perform the sunnat-e-muakkadah with very short surahs. This will only take you two or three minutes.

( وسن ) مؤكدا ...

قال الشامي في رد المحتار : مطلب في السنن والنوافل قوله ( وسن مؤكدا ) أي استنانا مؤكدا بمعنى أنه طلب طلبا مؤكدا زيادة على بقية النوافل ولهذا كانت السنة المؤكدة قريبة من الواجب في لحوق الإثم كما في البحر ويستوجب تاركها التضليل واللوم كما في التحرير أي على سبيل الإصرار بلا عذر كما في شرحه (رد المحتار 2/ 12)
