Looking at pictures for learning purposes

Question

I have question regarding faces. Are you allowed to see faces for learning purposes such as encyclopedia books and the books they teach in public schools?

Answer

Avoid looking at faces of animate objects.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
