The Ambiyaa (Alayhimus Salaam) being sinless

Question

Did any of the Prophets ever do any big mistake? Have they ever been warned by Allah Ta'ala sternly?

Answer

It is the belief of the Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jamaah that all Ambiya and Rasools are ma'soom (sinless). They have never committed any minor sin nor major sin in their lives. However, they were commanded to apply their ijtihaad and discretion in certain matters. If they was an oversight from their side, then Allah Ta'ala had corrected them.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
