Question

I would like to know what is the ruling on wearing niqab while praying and wearing niqab while making hajj. I have read that regarding hajj it is not permissible to wear niqab but rather to wear a covering of some sort? I do not understand what is meant by that.

Answer

Wearing the niqaab in ihraam is forbidden, whether at the time of prayer or out of the time of prayer.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
