Working as an accountant in a liquor company
Question
I am working as an accountant in a liquor company. I struggled to find any work for two years and took this job out of desperation. What should I do?
Answer
Alhamdulillah, you understand that this employment is not right. You should sincerely make tawbah to Allah Ta'ala and look for a halaal source of livelihood. May Allah Ta'ala assist you.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

وَ تَعَاوَنُوۡا عَلَی الۡبِرِّ وَ التَّقۡوٰی ۪ وَ لَا تَعَاوَنُوۡا عَلَی الۡاِثۡمِ وَ الۡعُدۡوَانِ (المائدة: ٢)
عن أنس بن مالك رضي الله عنه قال لعن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في الخمر عشرة عاصرها ومعتصرها وشاربها وحاملها والمحمولة إليه وساقيها وبائعها وآكل ثمنها والمشتري لها والمشتراة له (سنن الترمذي، الرقم: 1295)
حدثنا عبد الله بن يوسف أخبرنا مالك عن يزيد بن خصيفة أن السائب بن يزيد حدثه أنه سمع سفيان بن أبي زهير رجلا من أزد شنوءة وكان من أصحاب النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول من اقتنى كلبا لا يغني عنه زرعا ولا ضرعا نقص كل يوم من عمله قيراط قلت أنت سمعت هذا من رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال إي ورب هذا المسجد (صحيح البخاري، الرقم: 2323)
ومنها شرط الانعقاد وهو المحل وهو أن يكون مالا متقوما حتى لو باع الخمر والخنزير والميتة والدم وجلد الميتة فإنه لا يجوز أصلا حتى لا يملك بالقبض (تحفة الفقهاء 2/34)
واتفقوا على أن التوبة من جميع المعاصي واجبة وأنها واجبة على الفور لايجوز تأخيرها سواء كانت المعصية صغيرة أوكبيرة والتوبة من مهمات الإسلام وقواعده المتأكدة (شرح النووي على مسلم 17/59)
