Where does damm-e-shukr have to be done?

Question

Does the qurbaani for hajj-e-tamattu (damm-e-shukr) have to be done in Makkah Mukarramah or can we ask someone to do it on our behalf in Pakistan?

Answer

It has to be done in the precincts of the haram. It cannot be done in Pakistan or any other country.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
