Sponsoring a student with zakaat money

Question

Will Zakaat be discharged by sponsoring a student (presumably poor and unable to pay the fess) at a Darul Uloom or Madressa?

Answer

Yes.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
