Question

Is there any specific salaat/terms & conditions of repentance in Islam? Is reciting of 5th Kalimah or Istighafar enough for repentance?

Answer

For the taubah to be accepted one needs to be sincere in his taubah and remorseful for his past. He should promise Allah that he will never return to that sin and he should avoid all those things, areas and people that led him to that sin. Further, if in the process he had trampled and usurped the rights of others then he needs to make up for it.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
