Keeping away from a person who caused harm to one's family
Question
In Islam, we are not allowed to break communication with someone for more than three days. But what if we have a valid reason to?
For example, if a Muslim rapes a Muslimah and they live in the same community, are the brothers of the victim supposed to make peace with the rapist. This is based on a real life situation.
Answer
Obviously, this type of behaviour is unbearable. Islam allows you to keep away from such a person, like in the case of Hadhrat Wahshi (radhiyallahu anhu).
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

Where scholars differ, it’s safer to take the more cautious view.
